Best Filter for 55 gal???

Yea, a lot of people say bad stuff about them..I hear it all the time but it works for me..I even have an Aqua Clear power filter that is not in use because my undergravel filters are there..
Well i kinda disagree with the store owner always knowing whats best..... Thats not always true in allot of cases.. but i don't knock under gravel filters .. Had one myself.. they just don't click with the decoration haters i have kept

Yea, but if the store is sucessful and he is making a profit and uses undergravel filters, he does know what he is doing..I am talking about stores that have been in business for a while that use undergravel filters..
And running a fish store is quite difficult because of competition with petsmart, petco, and the other chain stores that sell for less..
I have an Eheim 2217 on my 55 ... very quiet, low maintenance and it does the job. I did recently add a HOB that creates a waterfall onto the surface, so the tank is much noisier now, but that was because I added some new fish that needed a lot of flow and oxygen..
I'd say an Eheim classic cannister would be your best bet (if money is not a concern).
