A 100 Gallon tank that has an average bioload?
Im thinking Canister.. what would you guys suggest?
Or a Canister and a HOB with a bio wheel?
what you guys thinK!?

Whats Average? This is MFK nothing here is average. LOL

I just setup my 75 gallon with two xp3s so thats always an option.

ewwww Eheim 2217... at least get one with trays, I hate no tray canisters mainly because it is a pain to separate the media for cleaning...

2 xp3 canisters would be your best bet good cheap filters.... I would stick with 2 canisters and skip the HOBs......

I think you will get almost as many different answers as replies to your question. Filtration is a matter of personal preference as long as you have enough of it. Caniters, W/D's, HOB's, sponges even it's al a matter of preference.

Well, the media shouldn't be rinsed very often, and dechlorinated water is better anyway. The flosses can be rinsed often, but they are easy to seperate. The classic line are able to filter amazing amounts compared to many other canisters. Also, they have no bypass.
