THe deals I got were because the clerk at the pet store was un qualified to be working there.

I have been sold Distachodus sexfaciatus for $4.99 because it was a "clown barb" according to the clerk. Got another one for I think $6.99 because it was in the "clown loach family" according to another clerk. I got frontosa for $2.99 because the clerk said they were Kennyi (Ps. Lombardo). Got a gulper cat (wallago or ompak) for free because it was eating everything in the aquarium dept. I got a 10"+ synspylum for $5.00 because "clearly it was a hybrid and everyone knows that they are worthless". I got some nice rainbows really cheap once (reds, turquois & bosmani) had them listed as Austrailian on sale for like $ .99 or $ .79 or something. Got a juvie Emperor angel for the price of a juvie Koran. Got a fucus trigger for $14.99 on sale listed as a undulated. Man there have been a bunch of 'em. I never went out looking to pull anything on anyone, I'd ask how much and pay the price they wanted.....
 
I got a bunch of clown loaches for 6 bucks each at nearly 5 inches
 
12" jag for trade of a protein skimmer wihch came with a 300 gallon tank that i bought (including a stand lids lights and huge wet dry with pump) for $150!

Got a 5" Blue Eyed Plec on a golf bet. Sank a 25' putt - got me a plec! Had him for 7 years. Could never replace him now.

now thats a deal and a good putt.

Dan the widebars that are usually available are only around 45 minutes drive from you in bolton at BAS.
£25 for a silver is a bit on the expensive side they would usually go for around £15 but it depends on availability really.
 
i got 2 p.senegals for $2.99 each cause the person at petco thought they were dojo loaches
