i have a 3 inch grammodes right now who is out all the times along with my trimac. I would probly order 4 or 5 more from rapps to get a pair

Its a matter of preference, really. Do what makes you feel best. Personally, I feel my lyonsi reacts to me the same way my oscar does. I don't think they lack in personality. I also think you can find people breeding every fish in the poll, really. All of them make great pairs, so just try to follow you heart, man. If you end up not liking your first choice, then you can try something different. Sometimes, it takes a few tries in this hobby before you find what you really, really like. Trust me... I know.

i know all the fish will last in the 75 for a while and all the pairs will love the 150. I just gotta think about it hard as i have a guy who wants to buy my trimac saturday
I voted for Lyonsi even though I haven't kept them. They are beautiful fish that I don't see much. I will keep a pair eventually. Too bad the Festae didn't work out for you. But I know you'll be happy once you find the right fish for you.
i was going with the festae because no one had them around here and then they started popping up everywhere and i decided i wanted a more people responsive fish. I sold all the festae, cuban, and my trimac. So out of all the fish im considering to breed i have the lyonsi, istlanum, and grammodes left. I'm not saying i dont like the festae anymore but its just not the right time for me to have one

Just curious, as i have changed my mind a few times trying to plan stocking for a 180. At the moment i have 5 F1 Festae, they are still very small but already very nice to look at. However i don't seem to be able to find anyone who says that theirs are personable/interactive. Which is making me wonder if i have made the wrong decision. As much as i love the look of them i don't want something that hides everytime i go near the tank.
I have considered Trimac or a pair of La Ceiba.
It is definitely not easy deciding what to keep, but they are not cheap to setup either so having what you want in there is the main thing !
i sold my trimac but may buy more to breed later when i have another tank up. The freddy is a very cool fish but can be skiddish like the festaes which is what why im getting away from them. I find personality more important than beauty
