My friend wants to know what fish he can breed and make some money off of. Tank size is not a problem and start off money is not a problem either. Any freshwater fish that he can make money off of to breed? Maybe even a profit from? He has the money to set up andy set up needed. Thanks!

Hes leaning towards new world cichlids and stingrays. Some old worlds like fronts

Generally easy to breed and "make money" tend to be mutually exclusive.

Rays, fronts and new world cichlids each have their own challenges.

Rays are expensive to maintain and raise, they also produce few young.

Fronts grow slowly and are hard to breed.

New worlds produce so many young, that the market gets quickly flooded.

Well if you're not really not that poor go on and have a factory of babies with oddballs, hormones and stuff, might go for aro's but probably should have a big-multiple-ponds, dunno if it's illegal within you're country and all, go on and establish a site and be like petco with extra brains on it, you'll be loved by zombies.

It's really not profitable to breed any fish for money unless you create a full blown business out if it. Even then most money is made from imports.

Stingrays are expensive, have long gestation times and are expensive to keep.
