Best fish to stay in a 75g for life?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Could do a barb/shark tank. Roseline sharks, red tail/rainbow sharks, Odessa barbs, tiger barbs, black ruby barbs, and such are all options.

Or, as you asked me about earlier in another thread, you have a plenty of options for loaches in this tank.

I suggest you do the Angelfish. Go with what you like.
I like angelfish. I was going to suggest discus but they are more difficult. For a graceful looking fish angelfish can be personable and are a great cichlid. As with all fish they have their pecking orders and dominance stuff that needs to get worked out with other angelfish. Usually not a big deal especially if from the same batch. I had a great community tank with black skirt tetras, bala sharks and clown loaches, and 2 angel fish. The good ole days about 30 years ago!

Discus are not difficult at all to keep. Ive kept and bread stenka discus for many years in the past, there nothing hard about it. Just keep on top of maintenance and your all good. I've also kept many asian discus and again they are easy to keep as long as you dont get lazy shall we say. Discus, rams, corys and tetras look very nice. I used to have these in a display tank and it looked spot on. If I had room I'd 100% have them again, Ive just grown to like the more personable lager types of cichlids now because I can accommodate them but discus will always be one of my favourites.

No set preferences. I am mostly just looking for info that I can come back to, or to see if anyone has suggestions that just sound interesting to me. I tend to keep more oddball type fish, and part of me is leaning back towards getting back into puffers but i am open to anything. My only guidelines are that whatever i get needs to stay in this tank
I say puffers, you could do two dragon puffers as long as there’s hiding spots on either side and the line of sight is broken up

If you like seeing a giant school of small fish act as one, you could do a species tank of one of the following:

-Cardinal tetra
-Green neon tetra
-Rummynose tetra
-Harlequin rasbora
-Brilliant rasbora
-Neon green rasbora
-Asian rummynose
-Celestial pearl danio
-Zebra danio
