Journeys don't bother me I drive truck for a living. I'm actually in Long Island right now and found a place I'm going to check out on my way back to jersey. Thanx again I will checkout that one I'm in scotch plains every now and then for work and I go to shark aquarium often that's where I picked up these FH.

Any decent quality fish food will get the job done, there is no need to feed overpriced foods that are marketed as flowerhorn "specialty" foods. The so called specialty flowerhorn foods are nothing more than overpriced generic cichlid food.

i used to think that too because I don't only feed pellets... Therefore I have a lb of low quality pellets right now Im still trying to finish.. But lately for the past few months I've been feeding mostly these pellets. My fishes are low in colors right now.. Gonna get me 5lb of NLS when Im done..

I know GS original make your fish grow real fast lol.. No other FH food I recommend other than GS.

There are differences in the quality of ingredients I guess..

I no longer feed Pedigree or Purina to my dog either.. Only if Im broke..

Anyways, best bang for the buck is Hikari!!

Can we see them? I just scooped up one 3 weeks ago would like to see the grow out process on some more. Mine is on mu profile in the 55 let me know how it goes.. some guys on here have some nice fh.fh

Well that was about as clear as mud. lol

Obviously there are differences in the quality of ingredients, which is why low quality pellets produce low quality results. BTW - best bang for your buck is NLS, not Hikari. 5lb's of Hikari Bio-Gold costs almost double of what 5lb's of NLS retails for.
