My LFS here where i live swears by all Dainichi types of foods and says that it's alot better then the food i use now. I've always used Hikari Gold pellets for my cichlids and have no compaints about them, but if i can get better food for them then i don't mind spending the extra money. What do you guys and girls think. Any suggestions.

I like New Life Spectrum, although I am reluctant to believe all the claims they make about their food. They do have a good reputation for not contributing to Malawi bloat.

I also like NLS, but have used the Hikari gold, and have no complaints about it either.

Im a big fan of Omega One stuff, its just hard for me to get because the closest place that sells it is about 2hours away. I recently tried HBH Oscar Show and Oscar Grow...my Os were always ready to eat before...but they absolutly frenzy over this stuff, and my other fish are also doing very well on it to. Its replaced my staple for them which was Hikari Pellets and Tetra Cichlid Sticks. :)

I haven't tried the OSI premier. I have used all the Dainichi foods and they are okay, but some cloud the water terribly. The Omega One blasts the others out of the water so far as content except it has no Choline Chloride which is supposed to be important, or at least I'm told so.

Thanx for all of your responses, maybe it's the special vitamin coating around the Dainichi pellets that causes cloudiness. I believe that my lfs sells both New Life Spectrum, and Omega One brands of food. I'll go and check them out. Actully, i don't believe that i've ever stated what i wanted by the fish food that i was looking at. FYI, i just add'd a Green Terror to my aquarium family and i want to get it to develop the best color that it can get. Color is what i want.

i used NLS also but when i did use it i had to vacum the rocks like twice a month.. is there anything better??
