Best Food For RTC

I just got a 5inch RTC and the LFS said that they would eat anything. but i was wondering what is the most healthiest food for them. i want mine to grow as fast as possible. also what kind of food would impove his color.

I 2nd that You say you want him to grow as fast as possible...although I hope you don't really mean that, unless of course you have a few thousand gallons of pond waiting... However pretty much the LFS was right for once. Good protein food would be hikari carnivore pellets or nightcrawlers probably as a easy choice, blood worms, shrimp, etc. ~Trent

monster catfish pellets. Hikari have done some quite recently i think. and of course the above suggestions

i say canadian nightcrawlers they are cheap at walmart only about $3 for 24 and they fill the rtcs up fast.

shrimp? frozen shrimp go for 5 euro a kilo here. or pollock filet, 2,5 per kilo...

i feed mine tilapia, shrimp, beef heart, hot dogs, crawlers, and sometimes chicken breast.

i fed it some cheese and it seemed to enjoy the quality of sargento. but will that hurt it any?

Mine prefers rocks and plastic plants even after he eat a half dozen shrimp
