Thanks, we enjoy him very much. I have been keeping fish for 25+ years, all different types, and have to say that Mbu are one of the hardier species I have worked with. We grew him up from about 4" long and he is going on his fourth year with us. Definitely not for everyone but as long as you have the space and the food for them, they can be very rewarding pets.
 
Hats off to you sir! I have a 220 a lil small for a full grown mbu but I am still tossing around the idea... ill see how my 10 dollar fahaka does b4 I get a 200 dollar mbu great setup great fish! What do you feed him besides the crays?

Probably 90% of his diet is whole crawfish (3-4 per day). Other than that we supplement with garden snails when I can find them and also, whole mussels from the seafood counter at the local grocery store.
 
3-4 crays a day dang how big is he? Mine struggles to eat one a day but he's a 5 inch fahaka
