What is considered the best food for natives in captivity ? Mine acclimated quickly to blood worms but just seem to ignore other stuff.

It depends on the species for example Sunfish will learn that pellet is food. Personally have kept Darters that would only eat frozen Mysis Shrimp.

Forgot to mention that frozen Bloodworms are not that nutritional so keep offering other foods. You may have to stop feeding the bloodworms for a couple of days and feed a few pellets.

Bass will eat frozen mice, too. I’m not sure if it’s the best food for them, but if you have a bass that won’t eat you could give it a try

No, mammalian fat is horrible for ALL fish. They cannot digest the fat and it will clog up their arteries and they'll develop fat around their organs
