i really like the smartheaters.. i use the jagers as well but i have stupid fish burn themselves on the thing every so often, and the smartheaters are awesome for that

Oh crap! That is horrible!
I ended up getting 2 500w blueline heater. Have not had a problem, Maybe I should replace them? Will 2 250w heaters work in a 240 gal acrylic tank? Just in case one goes in fry mode.

Earlier this week I started out cleaning an old tank which have been empty for about three years.
I found out the heather, a cheap Chinese brand, was still on and working. Can you imagine this in three years out of the water?
Since three days I'm testing the heather and it looks like it's working excellent.

Normally in these kind of topics I would have recommended a Jaeger heather, but from now on I rest my case
