Best heater??

I bought 3 of the marineland visi therm stealth pro's for my 180 but after reading about multiple exploding heaters with tanks and fish dying I am going to go another rout. What do you guys suggest? I am leaning towards titanium since there will be rowdy fish in there. Maybe just two 300W. I also hear a lot of good about the Ebo Jager although I don't know how well these hold up to glass bangers. What are your suggestions?

I only use marineland stealth, as they're plastic and can't explode if the glass gets too hot. They also have a lifetime garuntee that theylll never break

I stick with Hydor Inline heaters. Never had one fail. Plus, it reduces in tank clutter by not actually being in the tank.

Like I said....there have been multiple of the marineland stealth's that have exploded. That is why I am going a different rout. Also I had one that malfunctioned and stayed on rising my temp, to 86F.

Ebo Jaeger...just awesome. Great heaters, great price. If your tank is sumped you can hide it in there.

I have a breeding pair of festae that tear my tank up, I use a ehiem Jager, no problems at all. I also have a stealth in there that I keep in a bakpak protein skimmer. I think the best route is to keep your heater in sump. You can also try to cage your heater while unsightly, zip ties and egg crate work well. Either way best of luck!

you can use the Hagen heater guards for glass bangers. thats what I use on my 150.

The marineland is a good heater the failure rate is low. Every brand of heater has malfunctioned at some point and killed peoples fish. I would just keep using them if their working fine.
