Best invert cleanup crew?

Blue legged crabs are aggressive, the will kill off each other and target snails for their shells. Try to get Red Leg Hermits instead, less agressive with each other and other inhabitants.

Also don't waste your money. 50+ crabs is an insane amount along with everything else. You'll end up having to 'target' feed all that clean up crew or they'll starve.

Remember the CUC will only assist you in keeping your tank in good condition, they won't make your tank maintenance free, even over compensating their numbers won't work.

Yeah, so many per gallon or whatever, i know what you mean. But if you think about it, it's a lot of hermits + everything else. I'd start with a third of that, then add to it if you feel you need more.

In my 180 I have 3 turbo snails, 30 hermit crabs and 2 green brittle starfish and its plenty of CUC

A small conch. They drag their shell around all day raking the sand. Also a decorator crab just for fun. You'll have little frags all over the tank.

I agree... that's a lot of frickin hermits lol.

I wouldn't purchase any anemones right off the bat... it's a lot of stress

+1 on red tips... they stay smaller as well...

Like Kevin mentioned... I would just stay away from cucumbers all together its just too large of a risk...

Be careful with two porcelain...... try getting a sally Light foot or emerald... they are far more beneficial.

Don't get a conch.... what else were you looking at?
