I was just wondering what everyone here uses as lighting for their large 300 gallon plus tanks? I have a 48" led Current USA light on my tank that has does a good job for the front of my tank but it seems as if its just not bright enough to really light up the whole tank the way I would like. So what does everyone else here use?

Just add to what you have and raise them up off the tank. Raising the lights will give better distribution of light. I like the current USA led+ because you can control multiple fixtures with just one remote.
Its no 300 but I have 2x 48", 1x 36", and 1x 24" current USA freshwater led+ lamps mounted into a canopy I made on my 180 and its too bright. I have to dim them down considerably from full spectrum.
I've seen a lot of guys using those LED flood lamps on indoor ponds as well.

Depends on what exactly you're looking for.
DIY GU10 bulbs is probably the cheapest dollar per watt setup you can realistically get without going crazy. You can get 90W worth of bulbs for under 50 bucks on ebay, and either spend another 10-15 bucks on bases, or just wire them up yourself like this:

That's $45 worth of bulbs, you can get them in different voltages but most are dimmable and run of 120/240VAC, so you just wire them straight to your mains voltage with a switch or timer.

It's cheap. Low power. You can always get brighter higher watt bulbs if needed. But I find with these they light my 10 foot tank very well. I have two bulbs that run on a timer and do most of the lighting then when I want I turn all 6 on. Saves power.
