Best lights for enhancing red color?

My male SRT is the best fish I've ever had, but his lights are doing nothing for his color. He has compact fluorescent 50/50 lights on his tank right now.

Which lights enhance red coloration the best? I feel the actinic in the 50/50s are washing him out badly. Thanks!

sounds like a winner. Natalie I'd just try to find the exact opposite of what I had if it made my fish look that bad. I usually just move my lights from tank to tank and see what brings out my fishes colors if I'm taking pictures or something. Some bulbs just bring out a fishes colors SOOO much more.

Aqua glow works great for our fish.

powerglo combined with aquaglo is a great combo. it made a world of difference in the red and blue coloration.
