For actual parasites on quarrantined fish/wild caughts I use 2 rounds of Praziquantel (PraziPro). General Cure & Jungle Parasite Clear Tabs also have praziquantel in them in addition to flagyl (metronidizole). That said.... it could be a fungal infection or bacterial infection you're dealing with. I've not had the problem you describe so I can't comment on that part of it.

^This is good, ^ I used a combo of prazipro and metro along with a dewormer on my discus a while back. Worked well. Now I gernerally just use the Jungle parasite clear, but more as a perventative or isolated occurances.

Twisted Penguin- Praziquantel is one of my many options, it's just a matter of choosing which is best. You recommend this over other meds??

Depends on what the problem is. The reason I use it is because it's super safe and takes care of the common parasites like various flukes, it also says it takes care of "cestodes, anasakis, capillaria and other intestinal parasites" although I don't know what those are. I've mainly always used it just as a preventative in all my new quarrantined or wild caught fish. It's the same thing as "Droncit" that they use in dogs for tapeworms.
In answer to your other question you'd asked-API General Cure is Praziquantel and Metro (Flagyl). Same exact thing as Jungle Parasite Clear but costs 4 times more. I hope you get it figured out.

I appreciate your situation, but please don't spam a forum because it is "high traffic". This site is high traffic, and most users use the "New posts" feature.
