Boxer. Although I would suggest getting an adult or one that is already trained if your not up for the training.

If the price of purchase for an English bulldog seems like a lot it is nothing compared to the medical bills that accompany them. I think they are very cute but I can't think of a breed that has more health problems

miniature weenie dogs good for a small home. otherwise known as dachshunds, come in long hair and short hair, fierce little pootches.
 
lot of good pooches on Craig list, and ya some bad, have to meet the dog, meet the owner. spend on hour or so with them both.
