As some of you may have seen from my other posts/threads, I'm getting back into herps and really growing my collection. In the next couple weeks/months, I'll be getting somewhere between like 5 and 10+ heating pads for various setups (about all I'm missing, I have tons of empty tanks and cages and plenty of unused light fixtures, but my old heating pads all seem to have disappeared) and I wanted some advice on which brand to go with. They don't have to be the absolute best, but I'm looking for a quality brand that are also hopefully not too expensive

I like the Ultratherm heat pads from Reptile Basics because they are easier to remove from one tank and use on another. Those heat pads that have the adhesive already on them are designed for a one application usage and can be VERY dangerous if removed improperly and used over again. I have heard horror stories of people peeling those heat pads off of one tank, putting them on another, and then having them catch fire when plugged back in. The Ultratherms are designed to be much safer. Here is a link.... http://www.reptilebasics.com/ultratherm-heat-pads

Most brands are pretty good
If you wish to be able to move the heat pads from one tank to another, you can just apply a layer of tin foil or foil tape to the sticky side.
Whichever brand you go with, make sure its controlled with a thermostat or a dimmer to prevent overheating and burns to the reptile.
