Wanted to switch my 135g tank over from canisters to a wet/dry system. What is the best overflow to get for this? Any ideas and comments would be much appreciated!!!!

since you are in the states you can make one for like $20 if that... rather then paying $100 give or take for one at the store...

I thought about that. I work great with wood but I'm a complete failure at all things acrylic! I tried to make one and I ended spending more than it would have been to go buy one! So, I guess I'm in the market to buy one unless anyone knows someone that could make me a good one for a decent price!

are u talking a tank with land and water? where salamanders, frogs, and or turtles and feeder fish are kept? my local pet store said that he can't get units that do that any longer, but if someone knows how to rig one up I'd like to know. He said tetra quit makeing em (there not profitabale), but in NWIndiana we don't see salamanders every day like u do in the south so I actually was wanting a land to fresh water set up my self.

in fact i havn't even seen one in a while if i could market one$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ opps did i just give away my get rich sceem LOL

No, this is an overflow for a wet/dry filter for a standard 135g freshwater tank that currently holds a collection of various CA cichlids. It siphons the water out of the tank and sends it down to a filter and sump and is then pumped back up to the tank.

if you're willing to spend the money, i say go for a CPR brand unit combined with an Aqua Lifter pump. I have one and these things are genius, and quiet too. prime themselves easy, and when the power is turned off, they start back up just as quick.

if money is an issue, then you can always do the PVC DIY that most people use
