Best overflow for a non-drilled tank

I was looking at those CPR with the pump. It keeps saying that it is designed for use with their wet/dry filter and sump. I'm using a spare tank for the sump so I don't want to use their wet/dry set up. Can I use the CPR overflow with my sump?
