Whoa, nice pair RF!

What's up guys? I am new to this forum, but I have owned fish for years. I used to be in love with Managuense, but got introduced to Motaguense.

They are very cool and I have managed to pair breeders. They are still only 4" or so and are in a 55 gallon that they will quickly outgrow.

My question is when do I need to take the fry out? I know at a certain point they will become food. What should I do with them? I count about 150 or so.
Should I set them up in say a 20 gallon or maybe bigger?

Nice motas! Welcome to MFK.

I took my fry out of their parents' tank about a week after they became free swimming. They were kept in a 20g long tank.

Those are incredible fish...I am in awe my friend...just phenomenal pics.
I will take my crappy camera and subpar fish and go home now.
