Who said game over earlier? They were wrong.:D

I agree with you terd ferguson, Mo has just a little bit of competition here, they are all some sweet looking MOTAS............that is why I am such a fan of Parachromis!!!!

Hard to compete against Mo. Superb fish and superb photography skills. My young pair have a couple years worth of needed growth to even have a chance to compete!

Modes_man, thought the gold (or regular) motaguense showed much more yellow than yours?

The gold are different than the "regular". The gold I believe are a yellow color morph while the "red tiger" are a regional variant with more red (obviously). The ones I owned were neither of those, just the wild type morph.

are you going to sell their offspring?

As luck would have it I do have some of their fry now...and a new batch just the other day.

Moe what do you have for a camera? I can't take pictures that look half that good.

It's a Nikon D300. The camera is only PART of the end result. Having a camera in hand for 35 years might help a bit.:D

Sorry about the pic quality...will take some pictures of my female...

And another! No need to apologize for that photo, pal.

How do you get the background completely black? It definitely makes the pictures look a lot nicer.

Pretty sure he's using a top of the tank mounted remote flash & very small aperture setting (f/22?). Top mounted flash penetrates the water differently than doing it from a camera mounted flash. Less light will be going directly to the background. Using the small aperture (and the camera metering) will also let in much less ambient light.

And yeah, Mo does seem to have some competition, but I think just the size of his fish would put him over the top!

Pingpong & polomax, what sizes are your fish? Very nice.

Here's my ~5" female:

Haven't got any decent shots of her spawning parter as of yet. Plus he needs to put on some more size!
