you remind me a lot of rockinthe40ounce.....doesn't listen to what anybody says and makes idiotic mistakes......you also seem like a little kid....good luck to the monitor, don't cry when it makes you bleed......

i had a nile monitor for 7 years...he was about 6 feet when i got rid of him not because of size or aggression, but i moved into an apartment and the tenants wouldnt let me have him so know the local zoo has it..and he is doing awesome...as long as you spend time with it and give it its own room, not enclosure, you should be fine just do your research...

thanks dovii 88 i paid 150 for him.(no lie).I dont just feed him rodents cause i fed him crickets and he smashes him:headbang2

That's great, but really.....how are you gonna house him long term? like what do you have planned for him?

I would like to see updated pics of the Leopard and Golden Geckos as well as the Nile.

yes i did pay 150.I feel stupid but i guess its worth it.Hes only around 15 inches so i placed him in a 75 for now.Im working on a 12 foot plexi glass enclosure for him already with a little pond in my green house.Ill show u guys some pics.If u guys knew me u would know i really care for my pets.and i still have my leopard and golden gecko.they are very healthy.I dont plan on handling my monitor until the next couple days because i want him to be comfortable in his surrondings. But the first couple times i handle him it will be with some thin gloves but after that ill handle it barehanded.

heres some pics

this is the nile and the 29 gallon which it came in

Its a nice looking Nile but I dont give it 3 month's. You will ask 500 questions, you will be given the best possible advice, then you will go on your merry way and do what YOU think is best....for a while.

Ill tell you what I see so far.

1. Tank is WAY too small. Lets be honest here thats the same 29 you have been talking about for a long time.

2. What lights are on the top.

3. Whats the temp?

4. Water bowl is far too small.

Ill tell you what, after you get tired of it or it withers away to almost nothing ill take it from you. Do I REALLY want a Nile.....NO. But I WILL rescue it from you and give it the care it needs until someone else wants it.
Why will I do this for you?

1. I can afford it.

2. I have plenty of room.

3. I already know what is required to PROPERLY care for one.

4. I hate the thought of yet one more reptile suffering the Large-Cichlids torture chamber.

5. You will get bored with it after you realize that it is one mean little bastard.

So, whats the next thing your gonna get?? I know how about a Burm!! They are easy to tame, are only $89, will survive on little care for a while, and can be crammed into a 29!!! WOOHOO!!!

Oh and would someone please find out what shop is selling this guy these animals and punch the owner square in the face for me! YAY!

If that realy is a 75 gallon tank(I seriously doubt it) then your lizard is must be over 2 feet long. ALSO, why the h*ll are you keeping it on aspen? THESE ANIMALS LOVE TO DIG. Give it a foot of dirt to dig in. And yes that waer bowl is pathetic. The lizard has no hides, no climbing materials... I feel sorry for it. dovii 88, don't give him any ideas on where to drop off the animal when he doesn't want it, he will take advantage of those.
