Best place to find a Reticulated Ray

Thanks, everyone i know what you mean by keeping the tank immaculate, and whenever i say acceptable range i mean more like an exact range with very little to no variations(I did keep aros and kept them perfectly healthy). I am definately going to move my rays to a bigger tank after they reach about 7 or 8 inches. I'm also a very firm believer in overfiltration and underpopulation so it does make it easier to maintain my tank. For example my tank right now has 2 penguin 350's, an aqua clear 40, and a sponge filter attached to my powerhead, and i only have it stocked with 2 plecos a lima shovelnose, a bgkf, and 2 3" gouramis and i still monitor my tank very closely. I just figured i was ready for rays and didnt want to sink a lot of money in them. My local lfs just got in some "florida rays" but ive only every seen them once on forums and dont know much about them.

stay away from the florida's they say they are fresh water but they really aren't they can live in fresh water but they don't do well in it. And with the way their body works they would screw up your water perimeters faster than any fresh water ray.

Thanks, the florida rays looked a lot more like saltwater rays so i figured they were one of those wrongly sold species like "fw" moray eels. Im still not sure what deminsions to make my ray tank, i was thinking 5'x4'x18" im pretty sure thats right around 200 gallons, my finally stock for the tank would be rays(not sure what kind yet you guys have got me thinking on what species), discus, my BGKF, and my beloved lima shovelnose. would this be a good mix?

200 is really small for a ray tank and then add in the other tank mates and that is pushing it!!! I would say for rays and tank mates a minimum of 300 and even that is small depending on what types of rays you are wanting.

Ok thank you I was just goin of what I saw on the ray profile page for retics, I can go that big i was just trying to keep my parents from flipping out to much but that's really only like another foot wide and a couple more long, just whatever's best for my fish. Lol
