Even though they are foul tasting as all heck? I know the java fern is toxic if consumed... I have about $100 worth of plants coming in this week. Maybe I'm going to have to relook this fish and it's compatibility. Good grief. What a pain in the butt.

What plants have you used? Java fern and anubias secrete a very undesirable tasting chemical so when a fish bites in to it they are usually repulsed by the taste. This is the reason I picked them, that and they are low light requirements, heh heh.
