Best places to get bichirs from

I bought a palmas polli that turned out to be a retro from a store called Aquatic Daycare in Oregon. I believe he still has some (4-5 inches); he's selling a bulk lot of them on aquabid and the individuals were $30 (or 3 for $60) plus shipping. I never did tell him about the mislabel because I couldn't figure out a non-awkward way to do it :(

haha that's a steal then at 30$, everywhere I've seen em they've been 60 or more but large, are they young ones? I need something of substantial size my ten inch ornate won't eat. he already ate a 4 in senegal. (aquascape told me it would be six inches, I opened the box and it was 8 in. before I could figure out different housing for him he was eaten.)

and the difference in thickness between a 6 in ornate and an 8 is pretty big, a 6 would have been fine with my 4 in senegal but aquascape got me on that one. lesson learned. don't trust the labels on the internet unless its reputable like JA. and keep a spare tank running or know someone who has a tank it could grow out in a lil more and come back to your tank. ill never order from aquascape again. a week or 2 after my order they changed the sizes on the site to 8 in.

He said they were 4-5.5 inches. I don't think it would stand a chance against your ornate :( Mine is around 5 inches but they seem so slim. It's as thick as my 3.5 inch delhezi.

You have to be careful with JA. Sometimes they throw extra fish in your order. It has happened to me on two orders. Surely it has nothing to do with the size of my orders?

I wouldn't mind that long as it wouldn't kill my other fish and my other fish wouldn't kill it haha
