P. gibbiceps or "Leopard Sailfins" get up to 18" long also OP asked for pleco's other then a Bristlenose.

The Leopard Sailfins are the best, but they get a good size on them and very fast. My largest is about 6".
How long have you had yours, and how big was it when you first got it? I have a LSP too. Mine was about 2-3 inches when I first bout it 15 months ago, and now it's about 10". I've been told it can grow as big as 2'.

BTW... to the OP: My LFS said that a Rubbernose Pleco is great for eating/sucking up algae.

Yeah at one point I was going to go with bulldog pleco but I've read that they aren't hardy?

I have had one in my 90 community pleco tank for for 2 years, never had any issues with it, always out and about cleaning the tank with my BN.
