I have 500ml in my ac110. I believe seachem recommends 1ml per gallon but I prefer a layer the size of the filter so that there is less bypass.

Wow. It's that good? How much should I get for my 150gal tank ?

They recommend using 1 litter per 1000 gallons and it last for 6 months. I bought the 2liter container and split it up into about 6 different mesh bags between all my tanks, but the 6 month average is just that....an average. My loricariids make it so I clean the bags in my 300 about eery 3 months, but I just pull the bags and recharge them overnight.

Id say try a 500ml to start and see how it goes. No harm in using more really, but be careful of using alot more as it can outcompete your biofilter if used in extreme amounts. It competes for the same organics so it might make sense to put it last in your filtration chain is using alot more than recommended.

If you have suspended solids in your water then you need more mechanical filtration.
Try 9 watts of UV light. It will make your tank very clear.
I use a powerhead with a prefilter on it to pump water through a 9 watt uv light on my 120 and I have a Green Killing Machine uv I think it's 9 watts also on my 125. Both are very clear. Soon I'll be hooking up 40 watts on my 500.
