Uh, explain what attaching an air stone to the venturi of a powerhead will do?

That makes no sense whatsoever.

Haha, agreed. You can attach a venturi, which will draw air into the powerhead from an airline and shoot bubbles out of the powerhead.

I prefer koralia evolutions over anything I've used. Aquaclears are fine and I own one, but you can't beat the wide flow and low power consumption of the koralia for the price. Get a 1400gph for your 180 and I bet that's all you'll need (get two if you want a massive amount of flow, I run one on my 6 foot 125 and it moves a lot of water).

I've used maxi jet as well, and was fairly happy with them. Though they did make a buzzing noise when I first started them up. It went away after a bit.

SO I CAN ATTACH A TUBE TO IT TO HAVE AN AIR WAND RUNNING OFF OF IT sorry capslock was on

So these just cause a current in the water to move sediment? (Sorry, new to bigger filter systems)

the venturi system doesnt work like that, it sucks in air into the power head. if you want an air wand gotta get an air pump
