No, they are not just like koralia... Aqueon uses the standard impeller design which is inferior IMO. They can easily get clogged with sand and are louder. Koralia makes the better product.

No power head will ever magically make air???? no model will hook an airline to it and then some how create air from water to power a bubble disc.
I have 2 of the sun sun knock off power heads I love them the only complant is I got the ones with suction cups and not magnets and If I move them they fall off. it was only 30 bucks for two 1300gph power heads, they have fallin into the sand when I was at work and where still working, this was play sand so it has rocks in it, the rocks would get stuck in the grates. I must say that even if they burn out in two years well worth my 30 bucks.
Edit: if you have a magic power head that makes air from water I want to see a video.
in my area i can get any powerhead for cheap i can get a Hydor Koralia 3 for $25 but im clueless as how much gph i need and i like the cheap one that was posted above but thats 12 watts per hour and otheers are 6 watts per hour i live with my parents and she hates a high electric bill im only 15 so i dont pay bills how much gph do i need to move sediments off the sand and do powerheads face in 1 direction or do they turn left and right to aim in diferent directions
If you have a 180g tank, two of these would be best, one at each end of the tank.
They will point in any direction you put them in. But you have to point them, they dont move on their own.
