best public aquarium?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When was the last time you went. lol. Katrina took the Marine Life or what ever it was called into the gulf.

:duh: Good point. I was just spewing without thinking. Lets change that to WAS worth a look if in town. Now it is most decidedly not worth a special trip. Anyone know if there is a plan to rebuild?

Not on the publick side but if you are in Florida and going to Sea World I recommend spending the money for the predator tour. The shark tank part is amazing. You could jump in with them if you were brave enough to "accidentally fall in". Might want to stay way back on the killer whale part though they seam to be attacking trainers lately.

ah yes, i saw their shark tank a while ago. didn't dive in though.... hmm didn't someone get killed by ones of the shamus today?

YES!! The one in San Fransisco is another one I was trying to remember. It is very nice.

Umm... No... I have never planed a trip route drove miles out of my way or allocated an extra day because there was a public aquarium on the way.

Darn things are probably why I think I need a tank with more cubic feet of space than my house.:irked:

Newport Aquarium. It's awesome, and they have a 5000g reef I know a SW fan like you would love :)

Loads of other fresh and saltwater exhibits too, and if you come in the summer, you get the bonus of seeing my working there. ;)
