Best Pump for a 330 Gallon

pacu mom is 100% CORRECT!

I have a overfiltration issue myself in general(plus I like to TINKER), but do truly recognize that as long as parameters are "in line" there is no reason to go overboard.

I (for example) have already purchased the canister filters for a 300gal tank I "HOPE" TO BUY THIS SUMMER, but sadly still haven't bought yet(120x18x18).

These filters consist of a Eheim 2262, a FX5 and a FX6, all still NEW IN BOX. Overkill, PROBABLY, but I just happened to catch them all on sale at really good prices. In addition, I also have 2 used Sunsun 304B's, and a new in box CFS1200/14i, but I know I shouldn't need them. I have a fixation for being over-prepared for IF things go wrong,

In your case even if one of those FX's you have fail, you should have PLENTY to keep you running for a few days, even 2-weeks, as long as your bio load isn't too high, and you feed every other day/sparingly.

If you feel you MUST have more flow, get a couple of Hydor Koralia's, (or a "knockoff version of them for cheaper), just to keep a gentle flow and complete circulation.

If you feel you MUST have an "EMERGENCY" filter, do like suggested and get yourself a Sunsun 304/404B and keep it in box (or on the tank)ready to go. If you don't have it running on the tank, you would then just transfer some used media from the filter that has a problem(if one of your FX's quit) until you can get the FX repaired.

That would be my recommendation. Heck, at least you got your tank, I can't seem to get my SH** together to buy mine. Dang new house and all that comes with that.....

Best of luck, and put up some pics of that 330, I'd love to see it!
