Best reason/excuse to your better half for justifying new aquariums/accessories?

I wanted a 125 with redbellies and cariba, and my wife said no way- those fish are ugly, and there is no room for a 125. At an LFS, she saw some Vieja Argentea and loved them. I convinced her to let me get a 125 by promising I would get an Argentea. She agreed, and it worked out for me too, because I love the fish.

I used that when I first set up my tank, but then my wife saw the feeders being eaten!

Nah, she gets mad if they eat all the feeders before she gets home.

I've used the sin of getting what I want for my 270..."Honey... AJ(My son) really went crazy when he saw it and you know that the fish I have won't last forever in the little tiny tank over there... (Points to 50 gallon)...." she lets him have anything ... so I make it seem like it's his idea .... I'm going to hell

Im with bruce on this one. Mama always gets in the way, but my dads is all for it.

Thnkfully my girlfriend enjoys it as much as i do, and goes with me all the time and really doesnt care how much money i spend.

LOL honey i need a bigger tasnk he wont have room to grow (with the pouty lip ) well the lip thing use to work ... not as good any more...i have 8 tanks he tells me i need to go to FAM( fish anymous meetings) lol

not my significant other, but when I returned home with a 90 and 55 in my friends truck my mom went "I didn't say you could get that" I just replied "You didn't say that i couldn't either"

This is my reasoning for trying to get a tank at college.

The fish will help me relax and give me something to do. Plus they'll add some color to the room so I won't fall asleep in the middle of studying.

My reason was I spent alot of money on these fish and I know you can't take proper care of them. (said nicely of course, and it worked)
