Best Rubber Coating

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My only reservation about Wetsuite is that it doesn't stick to fiberglass very well. If you rub it it will come off. But if you don't touch it there shouldn't be a problem. I regret using the cloth backing tape because it was difficult to work with on a vertical surface. I don't think it's really necessary.

Thanks earthstudent for the info

Does this stuff adhere to glass and acrylic like the sanitred does ?

Has anyone here used the stuff you are talking about?

It is considerably cheaper

It does adhere to glass and acrylic although I do think using silicone would be cheaper to put the window in and silicone adheres to Tritoflex very well. I dont know of anyone else that has used it other than me at this point. All you will need is Tritoflex, fabric and silicone. And some basic application tools like a brush, roller if you choose, and a flexible putty knife like what most use for body work. The knife comes in handy when using the fabric. If you want you can use Bondo to smooth out sunken screw holes and joints but is not required, I did not do this.

The main reason Tritoflex is so much cheaper is not that its a "cheaper" product. We make it in huge amounts and sell it in huge amounts. We normally only sell it in 55 gal drums or 275 gal totes and sell hundreds or thousands of gallons at a time. 5 gal pails are only an option at my request. We also only normally sell Tritoflex to certified applicators in our network for roofing applications and waterproofing in general and is not sold to the general public. This also is at my request. And the reason my request matters is because I run the production facility.

How big of a tank are you planning to build?

I would be willing to do a plywood build. is there a way you can work with me on price? We can call it and r&d project.

I already pulled at the owner to even sell it in 5 gal pails, like I said we usually only sell it in 55gal drums and 275gal totes. I don't think the price is going to get any better but give me some details of your build and I will see what I can do, no promises. As well as I would require you to take photos throughout the build of course :)

I will keep you in mind earthstudent. I'm a year away before building tho lol. I have no set plans on which design or tank I wanna do. I love the 2600 gallon one that's on here as we'll as the 7 foot stingray tank to

I have finally sold my house so am getting one step closer to building my big tank. Unfortunately I have not found another house yet and will be moving into a townhouse until I find the right place. So I am going to get rid of this tank as I will not need it (since I'm going to be building a much bigger one) and don't care to put it in storage to collect dust. I have so many tanks already I don't need. So I'm going to sell this tank. All I care to get out of it is the price of the glass, $175. Anyone that wants it will get everything as it sits, sump, pump, filter, fittings, lights. But you have to come get it. I will be happy to help you load it. There are koi in it now but I will be moving them to another tank unless the person that wants this tank also wants the fish, then we can work something out. I will be out of my house the first week in January, so don't have allot of time. PM me if your interested. I will be putting a thread in the marketplace as well.

isn't the tritonflex a spray product and the tritontrowel a rollable brushable product how much of this product would be needed for a 4x8x4 plywood tank
