I'm looking to grab about 10-15 schooling fish tomorrow.
I like zebra and leopard danios, but I'd like them to stay middle to top and from what I've heard danios are just top?
I also like the bigger tetras (rosy etc) Ones that are under 4cm. But I'm not sure how well these school.

I'm looking for something that will stay in a pretty tight group.

Other fish in the tank are bottom dwellers.
Orange Heads, pepp bns, sterbai corys

Would love to hear some suggestions :)

Tiger barbs, bleeding heart tetras

The tank is 4 foot.. About 70 gallons I think.
I'm looking for something that doesn't get any bigger then 5cm and apart from danios I like the high bodied tetras but I'm just not sure what will school tightly.

Silver dollars :D :D love em! I underestimated them when I saw them first...but once you actually see their behavior its a good source of entertainment and comedy lol

He said he wanted something under 5cm

good luck with that. I've bought several tetras-cardinal, neon, glo-lights, rasbora, serape. none of them ever schooled for me.

add a ca/sa cichlid.. angel fish are good.... the more secure schoolers feelmthe less they school... so not schooling tightly isnt a bad thing... its a defense mech against predetors.. so adding a semi aggressive fish tomthe tank will encourage schooling.... a pair of rams or kribs may also get the job done in a 55 or 75
