Best Small Cichlids

Not sure if I’d consider 6-8” small for a cichlid as some suggested. That’s’ more medium sized IMO. Tank size requirements are different for a cichlid maxing out 3” in size vs 6-8”. Wouldn’t keep a 6-8” cichlid in a 30g but a 3” would be fine for example.
For me neets are on my wish list to own.

I might be wrong but do dwarf cichlids get to a max size of around 3 inch and they are classed as dwarf

Yes, I agree. Some people consider some smaller CAs as “dwarfs” but they grown 3” plus. They are small by CA comparison but not dwarfs IMO. What I’m getting at is that “small” is vague. Some smaller CAs can approach mid sized like convicts getting 7”. That’s almost as big as a male JD.
