clown loaches work the best imo

Not exactly the best. A lot of botiine loaches are avid consumers of snails. Unless you know the tank size, clown loaches are not the best among the choices.

yoyo's for sure. these guys will clear out any snail you have (besides mts's which are almost impossible to get rid of)

Clowns unfortuanley take a very long time to grow (12" in 10 years). So they stay small for the time you'll have 'em. Dojo's are more of a coolwater fish. Horsefaces are good aswell. But you cant be a school of clowns with thier crazy behaviour and great colouration.

We don't know if the new owner plans to upgrade a tank. Too many people these days keep them in a 20 gallons or even less.

I have a school of striata that do a good job of wiping out snails.My tiger loach wont let a single snail survive in the 125g.

Yeah, but I'm yet to hear an LFS say 'nah we're over-stocked on big clown loaches, don't want any more'.....
