Ive had jags for some time and all the ones ive had have had personality. Never had a midas, and its been years since ive had a fh, but a fh does have alot of personality. But it still comes down to what your tastes are. Everyone has difference experiences.

can i house a pair in my 125? will the male kill the females also? most cichlids do this.

Possibly, but it's not a guarantee. I've heard so many cases of a pair being housed successfully together, only to have the male "snap" one day and beat up or kill the female. Even in 6 foot tanks, I'd have a divider ready to separate them if needed.

okay no problem i still have my 115 gallon just incase lol .i will take some pics in a few months :) .... do you guys have any pics of your midas ? or solo fish?

I've never heard of that happening before.

I'd go Midas I like barred myself. Trimacs and Labiatus are also similar all of them interact well and recognize their owners. Parachromas are cool fish but not generally as interactive.

Yes it happens. My male Trimac in one day killed my female after spawning about a dozen times. I came home from work and she was skinned.

I just meant specifically with midas cichlids. I knew that other species did it, but I don't think I've ever heard of it happening with a midas pair.

Given the right or wrong set of curcumstances they'll all do it.
