What do you guys think is the best (Ignoring colour at this point) sand, the petstore pebble rock stuff or large river stones for the bottom of a peacock bass tank....

I noticed alot of waste got stuck under the large stones. None gets into the sand but do they dig like regular cichlids ? Right now I have all three in buckets I could put in the tank...

Right now i have one tank bare bottom and the other with pool filter sand. Bare bottom is the easiest, but i like the look of pfs. I dont like gravel or stone way to hard to keep clean.

I'd go with PF sand and if you want you can add some rocks or gravel for aesthetics.

Or you could go barebottom as mentioned above, or tile.

yea I use sislica sand. Same stuff basicly... Also would they go well with my ray ?

Pool filter sand for rays and bass it what I like to use. But, I find myself always going back to tile or bare bottom. Much easier to clean.
