Best tank color?

If you are keeping the fish you have in your 125's,Id go with tan background and black sand.It will show the ray's off better IMO.
 
since your building a plywood tank i dont think this would work, but i find the best back ground is etched or sandblasted glass.
it not a harsh contrast to the fish. It seems like mist and its like the back fades out into obscurity.
 
I've just paint mine black, it does makes a nice contrast, but you need a proper light to make a good picture.

Seems like black is by far getting the most votes. I remember greenterra's tank looks amazing in black, so I might have to go that way if I build... I'm also looking at a couple of used acrylic tanks, but I suppose I could always paint the background on those.
