ur asking what type of fish we like best with our invertebrates?

corys with cherry shrimp

Saltwater fish in general are vastly more interesting to keep than anything fresh.

Although arowana and aquatic turtles would be my fw choice. Nothing similar to aro's in sw and having a sea turtle would land you in jail.

I think I misunderstood the OP's question.

But I still stand my statement. Unless there's a particular FW species I haven't scene before.

Although FW or SW is purely subjective opinion, freshwater fish generally tend to kick more ass then saltwater fish.

Take for example Cichlids. They have wonderful personalities, beautiful colors, and high levels of intelligence for fish. They are also much friendlier to their human caretakers than most saltwater fish, often taking food directly from the hand.

We also have piranhas, catfish (aside from the striped catfish), and of course Arapaima and there are also the Wel's Catfish and Alligator Gar (not necessarily kept captive often, but nevertheless still FW).

Not to mention our rays are much cooler than yours. (Motoros.)

(Go Knife fish!:headbang2)

Well, although I love to look at ebjd, and was really attached to my oscar, a puffer takes the #1 spot for my list. Thats why I'm setting up a tank at my gf's and going to stock a puffer there.
