best water conditioner?

Welcome to MFK were we have the biggest fan base for prime conditioner in the world.

I myself buy sodium thiosulfate. And mix my own.

Actually everyone uses ST but 99% of people NEED that bottle with fancy printing to feel safe.

Do your own research and don't beleive the hype is all the advice I can give.

I'd rather spend a few extra pennies for convenience. I dont wanna measure things out, and make a mess and do more work than necessary.

I use Prime. I've never thought about mixing my own. I would consider it, but where do you get that? Any hang ups/ difficulties?

Id like these anawers too- but until I get them, Ill stick with prime

1 gallon distilled water
5 ml (1 tsp) treats 20 gallons

I use AquaPlus which is a nutrifin product by HagenI think. been using it for almost 20 years. its great, and it doesn't smell bad.

it doesn't neutralize ammo or nitrite, but I have no need for that. my tanks are all well established and have been for a long time..

I only need conditioner for the 2 10g tanks at work,at home I have a private well so dont need conditioner.I switched from prime to stresscoat cause the prime just smells too bad for the workplace.

EDTA used to remove minerals from water and even blood, but, so everyone knows, it is also used as an anticoagulant. EDTA is commonly put into the blood collection vials to prevent the blood from clotting. Please use with caution! More is not always better.
