best water conditioner?

I've used Stress Coat for years. we use Aqua Plus at work.

do i have to add that stuff everytime i water change? because i have a convict in a 30 and growing out a jaguar in it because its to big for my oscar in the 55. i change the water in the oscar tank and convict tank 2 times about 45-50 each. can i just add this once a week?

??? 40-50 2 times? 50% 2 times a week? Thats too much bro. What ever you do...dont mix aquasafe and novaaqua+...I did that and it killed my 2 aros and a BIG pbass.

None of my LFS have prime,Ive never even seen a bottle other than in pics.

so I use stress coat and if they dont have it or im broke I use novaqua+

i just use de-clor, never had any problems. in 10yrs of useing it. before that i used stress-coat, and nov-aqua. buit haven't looked back since i discoverd de-clor.

I disagree

besides, prime just detoxifies ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, meaning its harmless but still present.

Have you compared the growth rate? The growth of the plants in my tank are dramatically slowed in growth when prime is used, versus just using dechlorinator.

I dont know what the rate is... But every time i change my water and have a 5gal bucket with fresh water about to go in.. i allways add the drops. An let it sit for about 2 mins and add it to the tank.
