Best Water Conditioner

I've used alot of them. Api, tetra, seachem, even the generic stuff from Walmart among other brands.

I use prime, mainly because it works good for me. A 500ml bottle lasts a couple months so I don't feel its too expensive. I'm comfortable with the dosing. And I'm comfortable adding it directly to the tank as I haven't had an issue doing this in the last few years.

Its convenient for me. 1 cap for the 40b, 2 caps for the 75, and 3 caps for the 90 with a 40 gallon sump. I usually change my water once a week so thats 30 ml per week and that should in theory last 16 weeks or so. It washes out to a couple bucks a month

I use Seachem Safe or Prime.

I buy a big jug of Prime off Amazon and use it to fill my 500 ml bottle. I think that it lasts me a few months.

Whichever water conditioner you do use, I don't think the price difference will drain your wallet. 16 oz should last a couple months. I ended up going with api, next time I will be going with prime and after that safe.

If you are treating chloramine, once dechlorinated, the by product is ammonia. So you really do want a dechlorinator can remove that by product.
