Best water temp for Aro?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I used to keep my old tank at 86
In the new tank it's 84 as the elec is to expencive to keep it that hot in the winter

The hotter the better as long as it's not above 90 for to long as the aro will feed better

78 is to cold

keep my aro at and all fish at 77f cichla and rays and arowana no issue, i run no heater just let the temp go with the seasons

i used to run everything at 86f. now i took all the heaters out and just run them at around 75f the house temp goes between 70-80f tanks change accordingly. i used to have some iffy plant growth and some plants would just outright die. now all the plants are flurishing. all my small/young aros i will have at 80-86f to get some fast growth and to run a low sick risk on them.

my tank is normally at 80-82 but not long ago my heater broke without my knowing it and the temp droppe to around 70 and there eemed to be no negative affects to my aro
