Best way to cut Egg crate???

I use wire cutters myself. Works great.

The best thing that I have found to cut egg crate is a modified laser pointer. All you must do is remove the three little batteries that come with it and replace it with 2000 batteries and then you are cutting not just egg crate but buses too. Watch out for the table under the egg crate because that will be cut as well and if you are unlucky so will your floor. Try removing some of the 2000 batteries to weaken the power of the laser if you find it to be cutting to hot.

Technically, a modded laser pointer might work if you know what you're doing. I've read that all you have to do to make the green kind burn through things is disassemble it and disable a power-limiter (which is like a 5 minute process, at most).

But anyway, I just used my dad's Dremel Multi Max the last time I had to cut egg crate.

Small pieces side cuts, anything longer than 4 or 5 inches I'll get out the dremel with the cutting blade or the small handheld circular saw with a plywood blade.

I use needlenose pliers. Just grab and snap.
