my lfs might not be able to take my adult Jd...and she has nowhere else to go. I really do not want to do this but how should I go about it in the most painless way. If I can get her to the Lfs I will do it, don't get me wrong, but if I have to do it, How should I do it?
:(... one last sidenote...It tried to eat my pictus cat (R.I.P.), and I fear it has a barb in it's throat.

I can think of 1000 things to do with a fish before euthanizing it. I'm sure someone will take him off your hands.

x2.

If you have to do it, then use the clove oil method because it's cheap and painless; the fish goes into a peaceful sleep before it dies.

+1 on this. I did this with my dying pacu many years ago. But it shoudl be a last resort as a healthy fish should not be put down because you chose the wrong tankmates for it

I'm not gonna do it... I'll just have to make a special trip to the lfs. I thought it would work as the Jack rarely ate feeders that I offered her, but I guess you can never tell how things are gonna work out.

when i go to fish, the quickest way to kill a trout is break the neck ,moving the head back

Feeders? Really? Great way to kill it slow.
