dont kill it just because you cant house it properly, get bored of it etc. if you cant sell it then give it away for free.

you can always find someone to take a free fish. . . and if its your kind of thing or the economy gets the best of you then eat it. you kept the water clean and fed it quality food and didnt add harmful chemicals to the water etc... then you know its quality fish.
theres a whole forum right here on mfk where you can offer them up for free...

Man I just traded fish twice on Craigslist this week. The first time I posted the second time someone else did. Each time took like 5 min. to get a response. Don't be lazy and kill a fish because you don't want it. Someone else might want it. Give it away and one day you might see someone else give away something you want. It always comes around. I've given away, I've recieved, I've traded.
no killing! the only time I ever did this was do to my fish was going to die and he was suffering only and the other fish sensed this so they started nip at hin then i gave him the alcohol sleep but never kill a fish cause you cent house it you sell it or give it away and P.S. I'm a hunter!
