hello everbody its been a while since ive been on here but my question is. Whats the best way to grow out a huge dovii im talking like 16in or better. i recently purchesed like 20 dovii fry there about 2 in each and their currently in a 180 gal tank. im doing like 30% water changes every week and feeding them small pellets. any tips on how to grow these guys out ill be happy to just have one huge monster thanks.

I'd up it the WC to 70% weekly. Just feed them good quality food and they should grow quickly for you.

Have a huge tank or do tons of water changes. Or both. If you want to really grow out a monster, I'd suggest setting up one of those 500 gallon totes and growing it out in that once it hits about 14-16".

try cutting the numbers down once they hit 3-4", my male and female went through a massive growth spurt once i got rid of the other male ( the male i kept was the largest/ dominate one) his colour changed and he hump appear to have grown over night.

LOTS of food and make sure to use several types so they get a variety rather than just feeders or worms or pellets. And as noted earlier lots of water changes and as they grow larger thin down the numbers.

Tank space (300 gallons +), a good pellet, large water changes and give it time. I feed all my fish once a day 5-6 days a week. I think they look so much better with smaller meals and given time to grow instead of the bloated fat/thick overfeed fish.

yeah i plan on getting a 265 priced one yesterday gotta save up it was 2500 bucks. what do you guys think is the higest quailty store bought fish food.

I feed my 3.5 inch umbee around 8 times a day and in from Jan 19 to today, he is pushing a whopping 6 inches :) Hikari cichlid pellets, the one in the red plastic bag. 5 of them in a 105 gallon tank
